Wrinkle Relaxation.
What is it and how does it work?
Botulinum Toxin is an injectable that helps reduce the movement in a muscle and can be used both medically and cosmetically by medical professionals. When we squint or frown, we use the muscles in our face. Over time these repetitive movements along with environmental and lifestyle factors such as ageing, sun exposure, dehydration and smoking cause our face to lose its volume, contour and elasticity. Botox is a trade name of ‘botulinum toxin’ and has become the generic term for anti-wrinkle injections.
At Pallant Aesthetics we offer several treatments to help rule out lines and wrinkles. One of our most popular is the use of Botulinum Toxin (Botox). It is a neurotoxin that releases acetylcholine. By injecting small quantities of the Botulinum into the troubled areas, it causes localised muscle relaxation. Therefore, resulting in a smooth surface and a reduction in unwanted lines and wrinkles.

The full effects of using Botulinum Toxin can take approximately two weeks to develop fully, but will then last three to four months.
Dermal Fillers.
Dermal Fillers can help to diminish the appearance of lines, soften the harsh creases from the nose to the mouth (naso-labial lines) and correct marionette lines at the corners of the mouth. Volumisers are for facial contouring and sculpting, to increase chin and cheek definition, increasing the mid face volume and to give a more defined shape to the face, even creating a mid face lift. With immediate results and minimal downtime, dermal fillers can achieve natural looking results without affecting facial expression. The filler is injected under the skin using techniques that are adapted to your specific needs leaving areas of concern looking more plump and youthful.

Dissolving.
Fat dissolving treatments are carried out with a specially formulated compound of natural acids, these are then injected into the targeted area and go to work breaking down stubborn fat pockets.
Fat Dissolving is an injection technique designed to reduce or eliminate smaller, localised fat deposits. Fat dissolving technology uses a few small injections into areas where you wish to see lasting results. The active ingredient of this medication induces a process called lipolysis, where the fat cells rupture and die. This process begins with it breaking down the fat cell wall, releasing the fatty acid that is stored within. Then the body's lymphatic system removes the fatty liquid through the venous system, where it is then processed in the same way as fatty foods are digested and the fat is dissolved and excreted naturally.

Rejuvenation.
Profhilo® is an injectable skin remodelling treatment containing one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) on the market, especially formulated for people whose skin lacks volume and elasticity.
Rather than just plumping and filling wrinkles, the slow release of HA by Profhilo® stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, in turn improving skin tone, hydration and the appearance of fine lines. The result is improved skin quality lasting for up to 6 - 9 months.
HA is hydrophilic, meaning it draws and holds water from your body, so Profhilo® acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. Its wonderful for those with tired, dull-looking skin, transforming it into firm and luminous skin. This effect takes place within 3-5 days of treatment.
Over the next few weeks collagen and elastin production is stimulated, producing a secondary effect of skin tightening. This is useful because levels of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin rapidly drop from the age of 30, resulting in signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and lacklustre skin. Profhilo® acts to reverse some of these changes.
Profhilo® is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenate the neck, decollete, arms, knees and hands. Profhilo® is injected just below the skin’s surface over 2 sessions 4 weeks apart.
TKN HA3 is an injectable anti-ageing treatment made from hyaluronic acid for skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age. It can be used on the face, neck and decollete where the skin shows visible signs of ageing. There is an immediately noticeable improvement in skin tone, hydration as well as firmness, and lines are minimised.
